Good Thing Now: Artist Andrea Spencer

Life is full of fragile beauty . . .

An object that is drawn from the natural world, transformed by a process that evokes both science
and craft, becomes a metaphor that carries a
multitude of interpretations.

—Andrea Spencer

The chaos and constant change of the Irish coast is the inspiration for Andrea Spencer's glass work.

These exceedingly fragile glass sculptures of seaweed are a thing to behold. In this short video she shares a bit about her world and process and in this longer video you can watch more of the creation of these lovely pieces.

I love the many ways our creative energy is expressed in the world. From a Human Design perspective, this is our Individual energy coming through us into the world.

I can’t find Andrea’s birth info, so can’t share specific examples from her bodygraph, but I’m almost certain she carries at least one of the deeply self-expressive channels in her design. I would guess either the 1-8 Channel of Inspiration or the 34-10 Exploration. Both of these energies connect directly to our Identity center—that place within us that houses our higher-self. This energy is where our love, direction and highest embodied knowing emanates from.

We are all intensely creative beings. Artists do not have a corner on this market, but they do often have beautiful visual representations of what unique expression can look like.

I’ll be sharing more of these Good Things and working to tie the work to our Human Design in ways that might help you better understand your own energy and the energy of those you love.

I hope you have space in your week to notice the beauty close to your home.

With gratitude,

PS: Chaos in the ocean can be beautiful, but when our life feels chaotic it's hard to see the beauty. If you could use some non-judgmental community to help you process these fraught times,  join me and fellow experimenters Kris and Amy for Embrace the Chaos each Wednesday at noon EST.  It's an unstructured space to share what's on your mind, learn a bit about Human Design and to just be.

Please share The YOUest You with anyone
