Good Thing Now: Story—The Artist Who Couldn't Draw

The magic of putting pen to paper . . .

A drawing is simply a line going for a walk.

—Paul Klee

This sweet little animation is a reminder to us all that there are many ways to be creative that have nothing to do with art making, yet there is something magical about putting pen to paper.

Zoe reminds Roger that the magic only happens when you use the pen every single day. She also uses her child-like wonder to encourage Roger to reconnect to his own.

This is exactly what Human Design can help us tap back into. It wakes up our inner knowing and reminds us why we are really here—not to work endlessly for money but to experience the life force within us by interacting and closely observing life.

We are all intensely creative beings. As children we know this instinctively, but the world we’ve created detaches us from our individual creativity early on. But we have the ability to reconnect to this spark inside of us. Picking up a pen and taking a line for a walk is the easiest way to start.

I’ll be sharing more of these Good Things and working to tie the work to our Human Design in ways that might help you better understand your own energy and the energy of those you love.

I hope there's some magic in your life this week.

With gratitude,

PS: Practice is the key to getting better at anything. I'm practicing community with my friends Kris and Amy in an unstructured space to help us all Embrace the Chaos each Wednesday at Noon EST. I'm also practicing with the Human Design transits and learning more about how it intersects with astrology. I'd love for you to practice with me!
