There is almost no quiet in our lives anymore.

We are CONSTANTLY bombarded by message coming at us. We can't even pump gas anymore without videos screaming at us to buy junk.

Our families have expectations of us. Our work demands are ridiculous. We can't scroll through IG without seeing the endless ways we aren't 'measuring up'. It's incessant.

And it's debilitating.

If you don't feel like the YOUest you, it's no wonder.

Your experiment for the day: Find five minutes alone. Silence all the devices and obvious noise-making things. Sit quietly and listen. You might be surprised how much buzzing, humming and droning exists even in our 'quietest' spaces. Yet you probably never noticed them before. It is a reminder that we tune out meaningless noises all the time. Think about other noises you could choose to make meaningless.
