We can get so focused on what we feel is limiting us. Our jobs, our family, our education—pick any relationship and it's guaranteed to come with limiting factors.

Or does it?

One of the greatest gifts of a long creative practice is the recognition of the positive aspects of limitations.

Facing that blank canvas with only 3 colors of paint is actually way more liberating than 100 tubes of gorgeous color each screaming out to be put to use first.

There's possibly some truth in the adage that we 'can be anything we want'. But really, being anything isn't the goal. Being something, namely the YOUest you is the goal. And that's way easier when we recognize that our 'limitations' are really just guideposts trying to keep us on on that path.

Your experiment for the day: Where are you feeling boxed in by life? Is it possible to see how this might be trying to guide you to a more easeful path?
