Independence. It's the cornerstone myth of this country.

We are not independent beings. No one gets anywhere all on their own.

Yet the rugged individualism silliness is still alive and well.

As we shed this old model, the reality of our interdependence comes into much sharper focus.

Within interdependence sits the need for each of us to be sovereign individuals. This is why becoming the YOUest is so important.

Your experiment for the day: Make a list of all the things you've done completely on your own without the direct or indirect help of others. (If you come up with anything, let me know. I'm super curious!)
