We waste so much of our energy worrying.

In part because our big brains are wired to make sure our future needs will be met.

Yet worry has become a constant in our culture because we've created such a precarious system for so many. Most of us don't trust that our needs WILL be met.

Here's the thing though, worrying about the future never impacts the outcome. All it does is rob us of the energy to make this moment pleasant and productive.

It also keeps us from trusting our future selves. Just as we managed to make it to this moment, we're very likely going to be able to handle whatever is facing us a year from now.

Building your ability to trust yourself is key to being the YOUest.

Your experiment for the day: When you notice yourself feeling anxious or worried about something, take a moment to pause and really examine why. It's very likely you've already faced and managed similar obstacles. See if you can find some trust in your future self and put the worry aside for the moment.
