I'm reminded of this quote almost daily.

Once you notice how your outlook colors everything, you can't not see it.

Shifting anything about ourselves creates a domino effect. Often it's so subtle it's completely unnoticeable.

But tiny shifts over time add up.

So no matter who or what is grating on you, it's 100% true that the only thing you can change is yourself.

But the part we don't hear as much is how changing ourselves really does impact the world around us.

Your experiment for the day: Pay attention today to your moods. This is a good place to experiment with noticing how you see the world in the moment. If you're feeling stressed, see if you can pause and look at the situation like you were in a good mood. How would you manage the problem in front of you then?
