We live in a world that has conditioned us to think there was safety in certainty.

If we just play by all the rules and do what we're told, then we'll be safe and secure.

That story might have been true for a few decades for a narrow slice of Americans, but it hasn't been true for a while now.

Life is uncertain. That's not a bad thing. Seriously, what would be the point if it were certain? We'd be bored to tears.

There would literally be no point to us being here at all.

Certainty is an idea fed to us so we'll work hard in the pursuit of it. Our system is designed to profit off that pursuit.

When we release the need to be certain, a world of possibility opens to us.

Your experiment for the day: Notice if today feels and looks a lot like yesterday. And the day before that. Does tomorrow look pretty similar as well? How does this make you feel?
